It was the first console to feature a 3D graphics chip, the Sega VDP. It was also the first console to feature a built-in CD-ROM drive, the Sega CD. Sega Mega Drive was home to some of the most popular games of its time, such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Streets of Rage, and Mortal Kombat. It was also compatible with a wide range of accessories, including a light gun, a steering wheel, and a trackball.
