Description
Sales of the PlayStation started in Japan on December 3, 1994 and were released to the European market in 1995.
It was the first game console that Sony released after a failed agreement with Nintendo. Nine years and six months after its introduction, the PlayStation was the first game console to sell 100 million times. Sony employee Ken Kutaragi has been called the "father of the PlayStation".
