The Xbox One is a home video game console developed and marketed by Microsoft. It was first released in May 2013, as part of the eighth generation of video game consoles. It is the successor to the Xbox 360, and is the third console in the Xbox family. The Xbox One features an AMD custom 8-core CPU clocked at 1.75GHz, 8GB of DDR3 RAM and an AMD Radeon GPU with 1.31 teraflops of graphical power. It has a 500GB hard drive for storing games, applications and other media. The console also features a Blu-ray drive, HDMI port, USB 3.0 ports, and an Ethernet port. The Xbox One also features a redesigned controller with an improved D-pad, larger triggers, and a headphone jack. It also supports up to four wireless controllers at once. The console also has an upgraded Kinect sensor that can detect up to six people at once. The Xbox One also supports voice commands with its built-in Kinect sensor, as well as the use of apps such as Skype, Internet Explorer, and many more. It also allows users to stream music and video from their PC or mobile device. The console also supports the use of external hard drives to further expand.
