Skylanders Trap Team is an action-adventure game developed by Toys for Bob and published by Activision. It is the fourth installment in the Skylanders series, and the sequel to Skylanders: Swap Force. The game was released on October 2, 2014, in North America and October 10, 2014, in Europe. In Trap Team, players take control of the Skylanders and their Traps, which allows them to capture and control the villains of Skylands. Players can utilize their Traps to collect villains and then use them to help the Skylanders in battle. The game introduces a new element to the series, the Traptanium Portal, which allows players to bring their physical figures to life in the game. Players can also play in co-operative and competitive multiplayer modes. Skylanders Trap Team includes over 60 Skylanders figures, as well as additional traps, figurines, and accessories. It also features new Trap Masters, villains, and areas. The game is available for multiple platforms, including PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, Wii U, and 3DS.
