Rising Rivals

Pokemon Rising Rivals is the first set of cards released in the Pokemon Trading Card Game. It was released in Japan in May 2009, and in the United States in August 2009. The set contains over 130 cards, including both new and old Pokemon. It features a number of powerful cards, including the legendary and ultra rare Giratina, as well as the ever popular Pikachu, Charizard, and Gyarados. The set includes cards from both the Diamond and Pearl and Platinum series. It also contains a number of powerful Trainer cards, such as Cynthia and Professor Oak, as well as the sought after Secret Wonders booster packs. The set features a new mechanic known as "Rising Rivals". This mechanic allows players to use two different Pokemon in a single turn, allowing for more strategic play. It also introduces a new type of card called the "Rising Rivals" card. These cards function like regular Trainer cards, but are designed to be used in conjunction with the Rising Rivals mechanic. The set also contains a number of special cards, including the ultra rare "Rival's Collection" card, which contains all four of the legendary Pokemon from Platinum.
